OUR VIOLIN TEACHER: MISS GINA NIBLACK
Gina Niblack grew up in San Jose, California where she studied violin with Susan Stein. She held the position of concertmaster in the San Jose Youth Symphony and the San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra and participated in several summer chamber music festivals. In May 2011 she completed a Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied privately with Wei He. As part of the chamber music program she studied with Mark Sokol and Ian Swensen, and also played in the Conservatory Baroque Ensemble. She is now investing herself in the music opportunities of the Bay Area. Passionate about excellence in teaching and performing, Gina started a program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to encourage and enable talented student performers to engage in volunteer teaching, which is now established as part of the Conservatory’s outreach project. She has taught privately since 2005 and has worked beginning through advances students in private and group lesson settings.
